Community Before Commerce – Xavier’s Pep Talks

I am not a concert promoter, I AM A REVOLUTIONARY. So how I think and act is not the same as most of my counterparts. Even my own mother is baffled by this idea that her son would organize 300+ events and barely charge people to attend. “Baby I don’t agree with this donation based stuff you doing, you need to charge people. Ain’t nothing in life free” is what she always tells me. Mama I do charge people, I charge them their time, I charge them their energy, I charge them their love. So no, my commerce averse way of thinking hasn’t rewarded me financially, but truth be told, even on my brokest day their was always someone happy to feed me, happy to give me a home, happy to help me however they can. Because he who gives, it shall be given to him. I give love everywhere I go, and everywhere I am, I receive love right back. I AM RICH in real life.

Wealth n. – Everything that has value when money no longer does.

True Wealth is not measured by financial means. Some people believe that everything will improve in their lives whenever they magically manifest some money. I call some of my friends and ask them, “How are you feeling, and what do you need?” Most of the time their response is “I need money,” which indicates a lack and will automatically repel whatever manifestation process they are foolheartedly attempting to create, but I digress. Here’s some important information for you all, THE SOLUTION TO ALL PROBLEMS IS A HEALTHY COMMUNITY. I repeat, THE SOLUTION TO ALL PROBLEMS IS A HEALTHY COMMUNITY. If you want to be rich, help a lot of people. Period.

There are so called community organizations and people that exploit the very community that they claim to help. They portray a false image online, pretending to be pro blickety black. Constantly posting pictures of themselves always on podcast talking about their stories like anybody actually gives a fk. Meanwhile they are gouging their own kind, charging folks $500+ just to sell products, knowing damn well that the majority of those entrepreneurs won’t even break even. Then instead of reinvesting back into the community, they go on trips and buy bags with your money, wait a couple months for you to recover, and then gouge your a$$ again. My goal is not to offend anyone, but if you are offended, GOOD, you are the problem and you should be ashamed of yourself. Between yall and Marvin Sapp I don’t know who worse.

I am not an event organizer, I AM A REVOLUTIONARY. All of my events are Pay What You Can. No this isn’t a good business model, but then again, I am not a business man, I AM A REVOLUTIONARY. I spent the last year recovering from a much needed death blow to my ego, and now I am back better than I ever was, ready to serve my community full time. If you have read this far, then something I said resonated with you and I appreciate your investment in me. Now I ask that you take that investment one step further and help us build this beautiful sanctuary for creatives all over the world. The Creator has blessed us with an amazing space, which we are referring to as The Family Compound – A Music Venue + A Recording Studio + A Big A$$ Parking lot and soon a living space for creatives. Our grand opening weekend is April 25th-April 27th and I ask you to please attend. You can find information on all of our upcoming events and activations here on our website. I look forward to growing with you and showing the world what healthy community can do.

Be Grateful, Be Present,
