I just got my daughter a drum set for her 5th birthday. A month later I get to do some cool sh** with arguably the best female drummer in the world, Taylor Gordon aka The Pocket Queen. God is gooder than Grandma Gladys gumbo and can’t nobody tell me nothing different. I am so pleased to present PQ’s newest record “Good Vibes” ft Duckwrth. If anyone knows our history with SoulfulofNoise then you know that our slogan was Good Vibes, Good Music so I instantly resonated with the title. I was pleasantly surprised by the vocal performance because I didn’t even know that PQ could sing. She reminds me of Lynda Dawn and has a nice pleasant tone to her voice. As the old heads say she is easy on the eyes and easy on the ears too. Nothing crazy with the runs, no synthetic tuning, just a beautiful lead over some tight harmonies. The production on the record is absolutely amazing. She’s The Pocket Queen so of course the drumming is amazing, but the string arrangement took it to a whole new level (see the behind the scenes video below). I am so grateful to her and all of the musicians who helped create this masterpiece. This is the standard that I want music to be at and I appreciate the effort put into this record because you can hear the difference. She got a harp on the record bruh. Honestly, when is the last time you heard harp on top of a bumpin ass bassline?

She really is a unicorn because she is so physically and spiritually beautiful that you would think she would be on a planet of her own. Quite to the contrary she is so down to Earth and cool that you can’t help but want everything good to come to her. I am super excited to hear the rest of the album, “Introducing: Pocket Queen & The Royal Flush” and I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to help her present this music to the world. She has been so kind to make this album Pay What You Want and she has graciously offered a portion of the proceeds to Project Reharmony, a charity dedicated to empowering musicians and fostering creativity.
